Italian studio 3DClouds has unveiled Trident’s Tale, a single-player pirate adventure set to launch in May for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Gameplay Features
Players can engage in:
- Naval combat
- Customizing their ships
- Exploring islands
- Recruiting crew members to aid their journey
Along the way, they’ll battle rival pirates and sea monsters. Trident’s Tale offers a focused 10- to 15-hour campaign, steering clear of multiplayer or live-service elements.
Developer Background
3DClouds previously developed King of Seas in 2021 under publisher Team17, which received mixed reviews. The studio also worked on licensed titles such as:
- Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R
- PAW Patrol World
You can find more about their previous pirate-themed title on the official King of Seas page.
Release and Expectations
With Trident’s Tale, the developer aims to deliver a complete, standalone pirate adventure when it sets sail this spring. More details can be found on the official 3DClouds website.
